Jiayi is a graduate student in the Quantitative and Computational Biology (QCB) program. She is currently working on developing computational methods for designing informative optogenetic perturbation patterns for testing the causal link between the brain and behavior. Also does a bit of Linguistics/Animal vocalizations (mouse and song sparrows) on the side:)

Outside of the lab, she is an avid fan of linguistics, an amateur birder and enjoys softball (ask her about the LSI softball team) :)
