About
Bio/Description

Cina Aghamohammadi is a Swartz Fellow at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute. He received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of California, Davis, in 2018, under the guidance of James P. Crutchfield. Cina’s research applies principles from physics to understand complex systems—most notably, the brain. His work addresses questions such as: What are the underlying mechanisms that limit primate intelligence, where do these limitations originate, and how might they be mitigated? What is the mapping between sensory neurons and the olfactory perceptual space? And why do certain brain regions display far more irregularity than others?
